Morning sickness times a million?
Has anyone else been sick not just in the morning but all day long, even at night? This is awful! I never had any morning sickness with DS. I can hardly eat anything. I end up dry heaving all day long, and at night I vomit. I've been sucking on hard candies and drinking tea but I just feel horrible all day long.
I've given up on cooking because food just makes me want to spew. Dh has been helping with chores because I just cannot do anything without wanting to vomit. Boo. When will this end???

Re: Morning sickness times a million?
I've had it with all of my pregnancies. My first and this one are bad. I've had to start meds because I'm just so miserable. It stinks! Hang in there

Re: Morning sickness times a million?
Sorry hon! I was super sick with this bean but hardly had any m/s with my other two. It got a lot better for me around 10 weeks. I could barely cook either, it was horrible. And of course DF wasn't sympathetic. Hope you start feeling better soon. Congrats though!

Re: Morning sickness times a million?
yep, I've been that way with both of my pregnancies, all 40 weeks. I'm 38 + 1 right now and despite taking zofran was up from 11:15-2:30 last night throwing up. It literally doesn't go away for me until the baby was born. With DS I threw up with every contraction for the final 14 hours of labor.

Re: Morning sickness times a million?
I didn't have it with my first, but have had it with the other 4 including this one and my early m/c. I'm 15wks and still throwing up/gagging all the time. It usually ends around 16-18wks for me. My thing is that unless I'm losing weight, I don't bother with meds. That is just me though. I have heard that B6 is really good for nausea, but I haven't tried it.
I've also heard a lot of people say B6 + a Unisome at night really helps. You'd have to research that one, but I know people rely on it. For me, the more empty my stomach is the worse the nausea and gagging is. So, if I can force food in and fill my stomach, I'm better off. Though, in the evening, all bets are off and it doesn't help. I threw up dinner last night even though I ate enough. You would think I've gained weight with trying to keep my stomach full throughout the day, but I haven't yet. I was taken by surprise with it my second time around too. I'm sorry you are experiencing it too.

Re: Morning sickness times a million?
I've been super sick too...Im 24 weeks today, and still throwing up..have NO energy and pretty much just lay on the couch and watch tv all day long. I cant cook, or really do much...this is baby #8, and while I did have morning sickness with all of them, i dont think it was this bad except with my first one...I know it will end as soon as baby is here...
Sorry you have to work...I wouldnt be able too...i hope it gets better for you.

Re: Morning sickness times a million?
I've had it in all my pregnancies, mine usually only lasted 4-5 weeks, starting around 6 weeks until 10-12 weeks, so hopefully yours will go away. One thing that I swear helped me tremendously was wearing motion sickness bracelets (they are sea-band kind people wear for car sickness) they hit pressure points on your wrist. Some would say they are just mental, but for me I would just feel a little nauseas with them on, versus when they were off I would throw up. I literally would take them off long enough to take a shower and end up throwing up in the shower. So I bought 2 pairs so that I could wash one when it got stinky and never took them off. One thing if you try them, make sure from the pic in package they are in the right place, if that doesn't work experiment with different spots, since I felt there were times I didn't put them on right that I didn't notice them helping but after adjusting they did.
I know people say the small meals help, snacking on crackers, etc. For me I noticed mine was worst if I was sleep deprived too, so try to rest. Good luck and hopefully it goes away.

Re: Morning sickness times a million?
With Carter, I was diagnosed with hyperemesis. I literally threw up the entire pregnancy, sans the last two weeks.
It was worse in the beginning (first 18 weeks or so, easily 10+ times a day). Zofran around the clock helped relieve most of the vomiting, but the nausea feeling was always there. I went from 10+ a day though down to 3-5+, and then down to 1-3+. I had to take it by 4 hrs. though or I would be instantly throwing up. Hang in there! If it doesn't get better, you may want to talk to your dr/midwife about options that could help alleviate it.

Re: Morning sickness times a million?
The sea bands helped me - I never got sick with my pregnancies, but found that I would get way too queasy to even look at food. The sea bands didn't take the nausea completely away, but they helped me manage it so I could eat some. Mint tea and ginger candies also helped.
