Hi, everyone! I also had some trouble registering, but am glad to be able to post now!

I'm just getting started with CD. My oldest daughter is 2-1/2 and still nowhere near ready to PT, and I have 14-month-old triplets (two girls and a boy). Yep, that's FOUR kids in diapers! I realized that our family was wasting ridiculous amounts of money on disposable diapers. When I mentioned my thoughts to a friend, she generously sent me a loaner stash to try. As you can imagine, with four babies to diaper, I have a strong preference for AIOs, but I'm glad to say that I have decided to make the switch to cloth.

I feel kind of dumb for not having discovered cloth diapers much sooner, but that's how strong the anti-CD sentiments are in my family (and I think a lot of families). People just don't know about modern cloth diapers and how easy they are to use. As for having wasted money on disposables, with three kids in diapers for at least the next year and a half, I'll still save a hefty amount of money, so it's better late than never.

While trying to build an AIO stash, I must admit to some sticker shock, but fortunately, my friend's loaner stash is getting me by while I hunt for deals.

Trifolding prefolds in a cover is also pretty easy and they wash and dry really well and quick. It would be a lot cheaper so if you could get used to doing prefolds and covers I would definitely look into doing half prefolds and half AIO's because the AIO's would certainly be easier when out and about!
