Has anyone done hypnobabies in the past or thought about doing it with this pregnancy?

It's really intriguiging me - especially since I'm required to have a hospital birth and won't be able to use a pool etc.

I used it with my second daughter. It was awesome!! I ended up having an emergency homebirth since labor progressed very quickly and I was home alone with my two year old. I couldn't use the birthing tracks since I didn't konw where my ipod was at the time and I was kinda busy with the ctx

One warning: Using the program you visualize your birth. I visualized very well (too well?) because in my visualizations I was always at home laboring and then I switched straight to the baby being born. I skipped getting in the car, driving to the birth center, etc. What happened? I labored at home and true to my visualization went from laboring peacefully in the tub to being out of the tub surrounded by people with my newborn (the paramedics had pulled me out of the tub and I birthed her body in the hallway). My visualization came true in every sense....the mind is truly powerful!

I sold all my materials (books, etc) but kept the mp3 tracks to use again. It was worth it for me.

I tried but my mom was with me at the hospital and would not shut up so I couldn't really get focused. She actually gave me the phone to talk to my grandma during a contraction. Finally my dh had to ask her to leave. I want to try again this time though

DDC- I used it with my first pregnancy and it extremely helpful in keeping me relaxed throughout labor. I really liked it!

This all sounds awesome, and I will definitely keep that in mind HaleysMom!! I can't believe you did that though - I would be so afraid at home alone. And shame on the paramedics for pulling you out of the tub!

Self study. There aren't any classes availible in my area that I'm aware of.
