Please tell me it's because she has a cold
My baby is 8 months and has her first cold. It's very mild, just a runny nose, a little stuffy but she was so cranky yesterday and the last two nights she's been waking up every 2 hours to nurse. She's screams if I try to sooth her without nursing. She's in our room but we don't co-sleep and I can't sleep when she's nursing so I'm soooo tired. Please tell me it's because of her cold and it isn't going to become a regular thing.

Yes, I'd always let my kids/babies nurse on demand but expect it alot more when they're not feeling well. Hugs-cold won't last forever, LO need lots of extra cuddles and TLC when not feeling well

I'd suspect an ear infection. My two are awful at night if they have earaches (the pressure is worse laying down.) this last go around I was up all night with the baby- and my 3 ye old never even got a fever but had a double ear infection!
She could be teething too- but I'd probably get hr checked out today- and of its the same tonight is give her a little Tylenol.

Oh- also, standing with her in a steamy bathroom before bed and putting Vicks on her feet and covering them with socks to help break up congestion. Of you can wedge the head of her bed up a bit too that will help.

I gave her one dose of tylenol and I have my happy baby back. I have a sore throat so I think that might be it. It's also probably why she hasn't wanted to eat any solids. Thanks for the advice.
