High chair needs a deep clean!

It is a FP Space Saver- can I give the whole thing a soak in the tub? How do you deep clean your high chair?

Straps are the nastiest.

I take the straps out and wash them with the cover (usually with my whites on hot). Then I either take the seat outside with the hose or put it in the tub

I can't seem to get to the grossest straps (the ones that hold the baby in)?

I take it outside and use the hose once a month.

Thanks! I gave it a bath with Tide, rinsed, and now it's drying on the deck. Looks much better! I don't even bother with the cover these days...

I had to use a toothbrush on the straps with DS as his were screwed on and not removable. I made a paste with dish soap & oxy clean.

DD's are removable. I made sure before it was purchased. However I have to use pliers to get them out and it is not easy!

My high chair is plastic, so it generally gets wiped down every meal. It had a useless pad, but I took it off awhile back.

My straps come off, I throw them in the washing machine in a linen bag. Then the next day they get just as bad - lol.

If I need to 'protect her clothes', I grab a prefold and put it against her and put the high chair straps on the outside. Which was really just what we did to protect her clothes from the food.

I have the basic fp green,blue & white chair - straps go in the laundry, chair gets wipes...bonus it FITS in the dishwasher if it gets REALLY bad.

We have a highchair that folds like a camping chair and it is wonderful except that it doesn't come apart at all. When it needed a deep cleaning I took it outside and hosed it down and scrubbed it with dawn dish liquid and a scrub brush and a toothbrush on the straps. It came out looking like brand new.
