Diaper Swappers

These bumps are on my 4 year old DS's legs. He has them on both legs (upper thighs). I did notice him itchy one this morning, but in general they don't seem to be super itchy.

Edited to add: The bumps look pretty pale in the pictures, but they actually are a deep red.

I don't know what they are, but I'm trying to figure out the same bumps on me! They look just like that and they itch! I have 5 on my legs and 1 on my belly. Not fleas or mosquitos, but not sure what else they could be???

Did they pop up pretty fast? Thats where my DD first broke out with hand foot and mouth. She had those for 24 hours before she broke out anywhere else. Has he been out in tall grasses?

Yep, the did pop up quickly. And no, he's been playing outside a lot, but just on our lawn, not in tall grass. Good to know about the hand/foot/mouth! I'll be on the look out!

HFM has been going around bad. Our ped just told me today that the strain that's going around is different then what they're used to. Breaking out all over instead of just around H,F,M. The one thing that I noticed from our kids that had it is they complained of sore throats. In their mouths/throats was the worst of it and only one of my kids ever got a fever.

My 2yo DD just got over HFM. It started as a weird rash on her back/bum area that lasted only a day or two. Almost a week later she came down with a fever (102), then I noticed her ear was red so took her in. She did have an unrelated mild ear infection but the doc said she had a bad throat infection like HFM

She hadn't been eating well for a couple days but never once told me her throat/mouth hurt, she's not one to complain about real problems though.

Have you changed laundry detergent or has he been in contact w/ new soaps or anything? I suppose it could be a contact allergy of some sort?

Those look somewhat like what my DD has all over her legs and diaper area. Just posted a thread trying to figure it out! I thought about HFM but they haven't shown up anywhere else yet so I guess we'll see.
