7w4d ultrasound only show sac

My scan yesterday only showed a sac measuring 5 weeks (not sure if that's an estimate or not) I should be have been 7w4d. I got a positive hpt in their office almost 3 weeks ago.

Dr said it could go either way. She also said it's possible that I had a chemical and immedietely conceived making me 5 weeks pregnant which seems to match the hcg level.

I got the results of my blood work today and it is 11,050 which the nurse seems to think matches a 4-5 week pregnancy

I have an u/s scheduled for Wednesday. Longest 5 days of my life!

Is it possible to lose a pregnancy very early on but not bleed but then get pregnant a week or 2 later? We have been having sex regularly.

At this point, it can go either way. Relax. And just try try try to stay busy to not think about it. Some beans get a slow start. Some start just fine, moms dates are wrong.

You won't know until you know. And if you like, you can get another beta, middle of the next week (try waiting a full 6 days)and you should see a substantial gain.

Re: 7w4d ultrasound only show sac

This just happened to me last month when I was 8 weeks along, the ultrasound showed an empty sack measuring about 6 weeks.... mine ended in a miscarriage, and I chose to have a d&c. It's very heartbreaking, and I would not wish this on anyone. I pray this is not the case for you.

I do know if your dates are off, it is a very real possibility then that you are just not as far along as you thought, and it's too early to see anything on the scan. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it's just too early and you see your bean on the next scan. Keeping you in prayer!!

So, I still have a few days to go but I am definitely feeling increased symptoms. I haven't really had any symptoms until this week. All week now my breasts are increasing in soreness, I'm exhausted...I mean like I have to nap and I never am that way and I have had all day nausea for the last 2 days. Really hoping its a good sign!

Having more symptoms sounds like a good thing, hope you get to see baby on your next U/s!
