Question Rinse rinse rinse rinse

I have a regular top loader washer. I am using all free and clear and adding Calgon to the wash cycle. I used two tablespoons tonight and I swear I Ambon my 7th rinse. Still small amount of bubbles when I lift the lid. What am I doing wrong? It can't possibly take this much time???

Re: Rinse rinse rinse rinse

Instead of doing just a rinse, run the whole wash cycle again without any detergent. I do that instead of running rinse after rinse.

Re: Rinse rinse rinse rinse

I agree I always run a full cycle to rinse.. Alos is is suds or aggitation bubbles? If the bubbles are big and the water clear under its likely more aggitation if its more white foamy and water is still really cloudy is still could have deteergent residue.

Maybe I'm wrong but isn't Calgon a water softener? Before we moved we had really soft water and I had major suds issues. So I'd say skip it from now on. As for now, maybe run a long cycle on warm or hot. The longer agitation might help clear it out.

I also think I've read that vinegar can help it rinse clear. I've never used it though, sorry. Maybe worth checking into though.

We have hard water and had done stink issues, so I tried Calgon to address that. I think a portion are agitation bubbles, but I still see some milky residue.

Should I run another long cycle after the wash? Cold or hot better?

I would do a hot wash again.

Re: Rinse rinse rinse rinse

If you have stink that means that your diapers are not clean and still have bacteria in them. Calgon is a water softener not a disinfectant.

Re: Rinse rinse rinse rinse

I referenced this image and decided to try adding Calgon -- http://paddedtushstats.com/wp-conten...3/Capture2.png

My old cycle --

2 cold rinses on a short cycle
1 hot long rough with 1/4 cup of all f&c
short cold rinses until no bubbles

I had some dingy smell issues.

I stripped over the weekend.

I started adding Calgon because I know I have hard hard hard water. I tried adding less detergent this time to see if that would help and I still have a bit of residue in them.
