Let's talk fleece

I use fleece liners in my prefolds now, and that works great. I have a fleece skirtie coming and hope I love it. Do you snappi on the prefold and use the skirtie over it? Can you re-use the fleece cover multiple times like a regular pul cover?

Re: Let's talk fleece

Yes and YES

I will re-use fleece as long as it's not too damp on the inside; if it's damp then I let it air out and use it when it's dry. At the end of the day, I wash it. If I use the fleece overnight, then I will generally wash it after that.

You will definitely want to secure the prefold, possibly add a doubler if you find that you're getting some compression leaks. I find fleece is more effective w/a fitted or trifolded PF, a pinned or snapp'd PF may not be enough absorbency. But it probably depends on your LO and the type of PF. I'm just mentioning it in case you run into an issue, a doubler will usually take care of that problem

completely agree! we use fleece a lot and I find that if I change frequently enough then I don't need to wash our covers after each and every change. overnight, though...for sure!
