I use flip covers and wool. Flip covers with flats are so trim! I hope this helps.

I'm a huge fan of Thirsties duo covers!!! I've never had a blowout (knock on wood) and they wash up great and I LOVE the adjustable sizes you get with only using their two sizes. I have used them on my newborn (size 1) and my potty trained 2 yr old at night (size 2) You can't go wrong with them

I'm REALLY liking the Thirsties duo size 1 w/ snaps on my newbie (2 1/2 weeks). It's nice and trim but has room to grow. I like Flips/Econobums better when babies are bigger.

What is the difference between a flat and a prefold?

I have Flips with pad-folded flats ready on the table for dad. But I kite-fold and pin a flat, and use wool covers I made from $2 thrift store 100% wool sweaters. Wool is awesome, and doesn't have to be bulky! Google make your own wool diaper cover (I found a super simple one on Born to Love site). My little gal even hugs them on the changing table, haha!!

Re: Favorite cover for flats???

I really like Thristies Duos, but sometimes it seems like because of the gussets they get a saggy rear with the flats being so thin. Like it slides down in there. No problem when they're not big enough to walk, and if you double stuff flats it seems to stay in the snugger when they're older. The containment is great. I also really like flips with flats. I don't really like that flap on the front because it sometimes flips outward (fingerscrossed that's what they change in the new version), but they are so trim and wonderful with flats!!!
