When my husband and I first started dating I saw a website advocating live trees, totally disparaging artificial trees, talking about what a huge danger they are to innocent, unsuspecting families.

It became a great joke for us, making up scenarios where fake trees were attacking people in their sleep.

Anyway, I've always done live trees in the years we did a tree. With toddlers it just seems so ... I don't know, it seems like a pita.

I have 2 fake trees that I put up. Both are prelit, and small. One has "dancing" led lights and plays music, the other is prelit but doesn't do anything special.

Real trees. Even with the shedding and having to water it, real trees are still so much better than fake!
