BG 4.0 shells getting gummy/sticky/rubbery
I'm having a problem with my BumGenius 4.0 diapers. At first it was just one so I thought that one was faulty, but it's slowly happening to some of my others. The wash system that works for us is a hot rinse (cold wasn't getting the poop off, even though she's EBFed), then a bulky wash hot with an extra rinse cycle. I use Tide regular powdered, as suggested by every CDing mom I know. I just ordered some of the BG detergent. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? It makes the shells difficult to stuff because the insert gets caught on the gumminess of the shell.

Try doing a hot wash as your rinse after the wash cycle? Or dry in the dryer?

I thought drying them in the dryer was a big no-no?

Its not a big no no most people do dry thm in the dryer it just preserves them longer if you hang dry but even then you still want to throw them in the dryer every so often so the PUL (waterproof stuff) can reseal
