What do you think: Bike and Stroller in One?

http://www.tagabikes.com/

I'm intrigued, even if it is the most expensive stroller on the market - I don't own a bike right now so it would kind of offset the cost of getting two separate conveyances...

I especially like that you can do two kids in seats or wagon style.

Opinions?

Re: What do you think: Bike and Stroller in One?

I think it looks kind of clunky in bike form. How maneuverable do you think it is with the two wheels in front? How well do you think it handles hills and such? I like that your kid is right there with you instead of behind and or trailing behind in a bike trailer, but I would definitely have to test ride it first.

ETA: I also dislike the way the double sits, so the one in back can't see. I've seen that on a few strollers and it irks me that they sit them like that. All of mine would fight for the front seat and would just cause drama.

I'll keep my traditional bike with the trailer. At least that way, when I'm done with having little kids, I still have a nice bike.

Re: What do you think: Bike and Stroller in One?

I have an awesome bike trailer that converts to a stroller (that thing is sturdy! it's practically a rickshaw and can fit all three kids in the stroller if I need). I saw these when I was looking for a trailer, but I thought the same thing as PP.....it just looks like it would be awkward to maneuver, and my set up was about half the price (bike and trailer with accessories) and I have a good quality bike when I'm not hauling the kids too. I think it's a fun idea in theory though.

There's a bike/wheelchair sort of like that (but will fit up to adult in the WC part) called the duet that I'm coveting but it is $$$. I think if it fits your needs and you have the cash...why not?

Re: What do you think: Bike and Stroller in One?

I like the looks of this one better. It has bigger wheels and just seems nicer to me. More bicycle like maybe? I remember seeing this one a few years ago and really wanting one. Just don't have the budget, and our town is NOT bike friendly, unless you are a professional rider.

I think it looks like a cool concept. It would be interesting to know how well it really worked.
