Worried about making own CD

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and I've lately been trying to start my CD stash. I have decided to make my own but I am worried about the fit of the diaper. I am using the Cloth Revolution pattern which seems fairly simple but my biggest concern is that if I make all of the baby's diapers with this one pattern what am I going to do if they don't fit. Has anyone else used this pattern and had success? Have you used a different CD pattern and like it better? What would you recommend that I do in this situation?

I would probably try making a bunch of different patterns, the same you would if you were buying cloth diapers. Most people tell you to not buy just one type/brand of cloth diaper incase that style doesn't work on your baby. There is TON of free and a bunch of pay patterns also.

I am in the process of doing the same thing. I somehow stumbled on a blog mamakatdiapers where she made lots (and lots) of different patterns. All fitteds. I am more of an AIO gal but moving more towards the fitteds. Anyways, after the inspiration from seeing her do it, I have narrowed it down to 11 patterns that I plan to make one of each and then decide which I like the best to plump up the stash. I'd love to know what fabrics you are using. That seems to be the most confusing part for me.

Go for it MAMA! You can do it. I have not used that pattern. Start with Newborn and smalls then go from there as far as fit. I have made a lot of my own diapers and it was ver fun and satisfying. If you have an american girl doll, they make great models for fitting newborn diapers. You can always fill in the blanks with some prefolds and covers.

I've just started making my own also and I'm really liking fitteds. I've read great things about very baby's pattern so I bought it and that's what I'm using.
