burlap
I bought some burlap at JoAnns today and the lady cutting the fabric asked me if I knew about it. So she goes on to say that anyone who has asthma shouldn't be around it because it could cause an asthma attack and that it had formaldehyde (sp?) in it. She said to use it in a well ventilated area.
Has anyone else ever heard this about burlap?? I looked around online but didn't see anything. I'm trying to make a wreath.

Most fabrics have a formeldahyde containing spray on them to repel bugs and parasites while in shipping and storage. It is washed off when the fabric is washed.
