My girl seems very itchy in my woolies no matter how squishy soft they are so I think it's time to part ways but it makes me so sad she does ok in soakers luckily because I'm not sure how to keep the sheets dry without them but even the soakers seem to bug her a little bit. Tonight I put her down in a flip with a thirsties hemp prefold, thirsties hemp inset and a fleece liner so we are testing it out to see if she wakes up with leaks. Fingers crossed we can make something work minus wool.
Anyone else have a Lo sensitive to wool?

She might be allergic? Have you thought of trying fleece soakers/longies instead? I've made them for my daughter and we haven't had leaks with them, even using them over fitteds.

I might try fleece for sure. I am getting better with the sewing machine so maybe I will attempt to make a fleece soaker

Re: Think i am done with wool :(

it bothered my daughter but does not seem to bother my son... my sister is allergic to wool, and I've also hear of kids allergic to lanolin. Oh my poor sister and the itchy hives she would get from sitting on the wool rug at our Grandmother's house on Christmas, poor girl!

We used fleece with my daughter with a lot of success, have you seen emotibums? sooo cute and super high quality!

Yes I have seen her stuff and just might have to try some if we can't get a night solution without an extra cover.

Re: Think i am done with wool :(

We have recently started not loving our wool. It's been leaving weird chaffing marks on this insides of my sons thighs.

Good luck on your trial tonight. We have been trying out a few things over the past weeks without our wool and so far our favorite combo is a large sbish flat folded the short way in a flip cover, with a hemp booster and fleece liner.

Re: Think i am done with wool :(

I know that the interlock I use is a blend of wool and lycra, which is a rubber product, so some can be allergic to that (like a latex allergy).

Well the thirsties and flip combo held tight through 3 nursing sessions last night. It weighed a ton this morning but no leaks!!!! I think I might throw another trim doubler in tonight just to be safe but I was happy she woke up with dry sheets and a clear bum
