oil pulling

Has anyone ever tried this?? I found it looking for home remedies for a toothache. I did it last night before bed and this morning and my teeth feel so clean!! On the other hand ive had some crazy nasal drainage and had a little chest congestion because of the weather change that is all coming out Anyone want to share their experience with oil pulling.

Re: oil pulling

I haven't tried oil pulling but try a neti pot for the nasal drainage.

I tried it for a little bit, but quit because I only had cheapo coconut oil. I've been meaning to get some better stuff and try again.

I just used the cold pressed evoo I had in my kitchen. It does leave a funky after taste so I'm thinking of trying something different.

You swish oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes without swallowing then spit it out. Its supposed to remove bacteria and toxins. Its said that it helps with teeth whitening and to remove plaque and a ton of other stuff.

15 minutes? Wow that's a long time. I can barely handle 30 seconds with mouthwash!

you really get use to it, esp if you distract yourself by doing your morning routine. you dont have to do it vigorously the whole time
