Lactation cookie recipe
Due in 6 wks w/ baby #2 and looking for a good lactation cookie recipe (something that tastes delicious so I'll actually eat them!). Also, anyone ever made the dough ahead of time & froze it?
Thanks!!

I used 1/2 ww flour, 1/2 ap. I also used stevia baking sugar, which is half stevia, half real sugar, so it brought the entire sugar content down. I didn't have any yeast but I doubled the flax. I thought about adding fenugreek, but wasn't sure how it would alter the flavor. The ww flour made it more muffin like, which was great, and the extra flax gave it a nutty flavor. I've never frozen the dough, but I'm sure you could freeze the cookies. A warm cookie would taste good.

![]() Best one I've tried! It really works plus its on the healthy side. I've made these into bars instead if cookies. The dough freezes okay as well. My phone thinks it smarter than me. Please pardon any mistakes. Last edited by cyanotype; 11-05-2012 at 05:38 PM. |

Thanks!! For the oats, does it matter if I use old-fashion or quick?
I seriously had no milk w/ DS despite feeding on demand, pumping, meeting w/ LCs, fenugreek, and a round of Reglan so I'm trying to be proactive this time and have other tricks on hand to try should I need them

Extras? These cookies are gone in 1-2 days in my house. Lol. My husband takes at least 4 to work as a snack. ![]() My phone thinks it smarter than me. Please pardon any mistakes. |

I've always seen those recipes, and others, call for old fashioned oats, not the quick oats. Where's a good place to buy Brewer's yeast? Walmart doesn't have it here
