How To Keep A Fever Down When Baby Is Sleeping?
My dd is 8 months old, cutting teeth, and sick to boot. She has a pretty regular fever in the high 101s/low 200s and we think she has a sore throat. Took her to the doctor yesterday to rule out ear infection/etc. he basically said to keep doing what we're doing.
I'd like to find a way to minimize how hot she becomes when she's sleeping/nursing though. It's not too bad when she sleeps by herself but she usually sleeps on somebody because moving her wakes her and she screams. Is there anything I can do to help her out? Maybe some type of cooling pad or something? Thanks. |

If she's sleeping on someone, you could try cooling down the someone.
like with a fan or something. but fever is best fought with good sleep and that usually means sweaty sleep, so you won't be able to get the baby completely cooled down.

Cotton for both baby and who she is sleeping with. Synthetics get hit easy.
If you do meds ibuprofen lasts a little longer. With how our temp normally changes in the day she should be her hottest in the evening and not so bad in the early morning
