I got a job!

I go into HR to sign the contract and get all the details ironed out this afternoon! I start December 3rd (or maybe 4th because the woman who will be training me will be away on the 3rd).

I've been a student for years, rotating between part-time and full-time.
This will be my first full-time job since becoming a mom. Plus I'm still going to be working on my Masters degree one class at a time.

So I may be around this board while I work out how to handle this new schedule! Bear with me over the next few months!

Congrats! Hubby and I are both starting new jobs in January and we will have 2 in daycare (including a newbie).

On a side note: anyone know why this sub-forum is in off topic rather than parenting? I tend to forget it's here and naturally go to parenting and then get confused momentarily when I can't find it there. I find it a strange placement.

Thanks everyone! My first day went really well. I am working on my masters degree very slowly and I have been considering switching from the non-thesis to the thesis program. In my first meeting, my first day one of the team members brought up a research project she is beginning to work on that sounds A-mazing. We briefly chatted about the possibility of working on it together as a thesis for my degree. She was all for it, in fact I think she'll be disappointed if I say no!

It is super exciting. It was like neon signs flashing in front of my face. You are in the right place, this is where you need to be, what you need to do.
