Speaking of BabyLegs (Fit Question)...

So, in addition to my crazy diaper stash for my first-babe-due-in-March, I have 24 pairs of BabyLegs. Almost all are the BL brand.

The standard "One Size" look big to me, which is fine, because almost half of mine are either "Newborn" or "My First Baby Legs" (with the "1" on the bottom, instead of "BL"). But even those look a little big?

Maybe it's my relative lack of experience with infants, but did your BL fit your LO as a newborn? Before 6 months, anyway? And were they the OS or "My First"/Newborn sizes? If they didn't fit until your babe was older, how much older?

I only have the OS baby-legs and they don't fit a newborn (my LO was just over 8lbs at birth and gained quickly). I started using them around 3 months when LO was around 14ish lbs, they probably would have fit a bit sooner though (maybe 12lbs). Oh and my guy is pretty solidly built... if you have a skinny baby then they would take longer to fit, since the limiting factor is the width of the elastic around the leg not the length...

Awesome, thank you! That confirms what I suspected and is really no problem... Although Babe will be born at the beginning of March (and will particularly need warm legs for the first 4-6 weeks in my climate), it sounds like s/he will probably be able to wear OS BL before s/he is crawling and before fall and cold weather hit again.

Anyone else want to weigh in? Especially anyone with My First or Newborn BL?

Definitely will be able to wear by the time s/he is crawling! Also, we did use our BL inside in the summertime even in a very hot climate because of the A/C! I wish I had planned a BL wardrobe... we only had 3 pairs (now I have 2 more) they make diaper changes so much easier. Although I hate T-shirts on little babies, so we use them with onsies!

My girl is 5 months and still in the newborns, the regulars are just insanely long and uncomfortable looking. Although my daughter has very short stubby little legs.

they were a little big for a couple weeks, but in those first weeks I wanted her wrapped up warmer anyway.

My little dude was 8 lb 14 oz at birth and the Newborn babylegs were the best fit even then though he had chicken legs and they had to be pulled up alot. Newborn should be your best bet from the beginning though for sure.

We love our Babylegs - we get compliments ALL the time! The My First Babylegs were huge at first. For the first couple months they were baggy and hung down below the ankles. Around 2.5 - 3 months they fit great. That was the beginning of summer, by the time summer ended (around 5 months) the newborn size were a little short (they still fit but didn't want to stay up as well and didn't cover all the way to the diaper) so we switched to the one-size Babylegs. My little one is now 7 months old (13 lbs) and the one-size Babylegs fit her the way the NB ones did at first. They're baggy and hang down below her ankles, but they stay on and look very cute.

6 months in one-size Babylegs - not the best picture but the only one I could find - she must have been crawling a lot because the Babylegs usually stay up by her diaper better than this.
