I pulled my pubic symphysis... help!
Last night while carpet cleaning I was moving some furniture and put my foot on a rug not realizing that it didn't have rubber grippers. The rug slid on our slick wood floors snapping me into a partial split, I felt immediate pain but was hoping I hadn't injured myself. I've been dealing with a twingy pubic symphysis for two months but nothing compared to what it is now. If I walk after sitting down I can barely do it. It's more tolerable if I've been walking but I have to walk with this weird shuffle step.
Does anyone have any ideas to help me? I am pretty desperate.

See a chiropractor. If you can find one with lots of experience with pregnant women, that's even better. I had bad pubic symphisis pain during my third trimester and the chiro got thing back in place in a couple visits with noticeable improvement after the first one.

It helped so much with my 3rd pregnancy. I couldn't imagine how I managed the first 2 without one!

Re: I pulled my pubic symphysis... help!
Thanks, I guess I'll make an appointment then. I have a good chiropractor and she does the Webster method so hopefully she can put me back together. I guess I was hoping for something that would provide more immediate relief.
I had to use a step ladder to get into bed tonight, their was no way I could have gotten in otherwise.

Soaking in a tub helped some. Being submerged took the weight off so it was not so painful. The chiro is what made it all better though. Good luck.

A pregnancy support belt will help also. I LOVE mine. I opted for the more expensive one that help my hips together and supported my belly. And it helped to support my pubic symphasis so that it didn't hurt.
