Maybe a sip here and there to taste. But never anything close to a full "drink". I work with special needs children and see a lot of FAS and FAE, so I just won't chance it...

I don't have a problem with an occasional drink. I personally wait until well after the 1st trimester though. I have used 1/2 glass of wine to settle some BH contractions as well as predromal labor (I had intense predromal with my 1st for 2 weeks). I also have celebrated special occasions with friends and family with a glass of wine. Personally, I wouldn't drink a mixed drink or shot and I don't care for beer, so I wouldn't drink that either.

I don't see a problem with a small sip, but for some reason even when people offer or ask me to taste something I still say no. I guess I just feel like if I can't enjoy it why bother, I've made the commitment to not drink so why not just not drink.

This. It feels wrong to not have a full glass or two, but I don't want to have that much. I'd rather just turn down the sip than want to have more.
