Just wanted to share how well my little one is doing. Ivy was born at 7lbs 6oz and dropped down to 6lbs 13oz. After a slow start, she was back at her birth rate around two and a half weeks.

Yesterday, at almost six weeks, she's up to 9lbs 8.5oz! That's over two pounds in just over three weeks!

On top of that, she's currently fighting an infection and still gained four ounces between Wednesday and Saturday. She's doing great! We call her Sharkbite because of the enthusiasm with which she latches on.

Thanks! My first baby only nursed for four months (nursing strikes, wouldn't take the breast, couldn't pump enough to keep up with him) and it's my biggest regret from his babyhood. I'm very committed to breastfeeding Ivy until AT LEAST her first birthday. I'm so glad we're off to a strong start.
