Brushing for Sleep?

Has anyone using brushing therapy for a child who can not sleep? I'm getting really desperate to help my 2 year old sleep more than 2 hours at a time at night. She's currently in OT 3x a week on a trial basis to see if it helps her. I have been searching for any other things I can do to help and was wondering if brushing her at bedtime would do anything. If you do use brushing what brush do you use? I've never done it so I don't know what to look for.

We did brushing on my son for stimulation. And after a few days of it he actually stopped sleeping like he was. He's never had a problem sleeping always slept 10-12 hours at night. When we started brushing his sleeping went down to about 6 hours at night and fighting naps during the day. So needles to say I stopped doing it. The brush I used was a little plastic one I got from his OT.

It depends on the kiddo. We brush my DD once a day to help with body awareness. We don't do it before bed because it is stimulating but it does help her with sit down activities.
