Re: BG and wool dyeing questions

I think on the second or third page of this board there is directions on how to dye using kool aide. I'm sure someone who owns a shop where they sell wool would know. I was going to ask almost the same question. Mine was going to be how do you dye using natural materials.

Re: BG and wool dyeing questions

For my BG's I used 3 packages of kool-aid 1 cup vinegar a pot of almost boiling water (I put the ka and vinegar in the water when it was almost boiling) then I turned the stove down to med-low put the diaper in and let it sit for about 30mins. I did stir it to make sure it got the color everywhere.

I also have dyed a pair of wool shorties with ka, I just didn't put any vinegar in the water. Both turned out great.

Re: BG and wool dyeing questions

I did what Aimee did with my BG the other day (Had 1 lone white one). Just dyed 4 more tonight, 2 were white & 2 others were dingy other colors that needed redone...icky yellow & orange) I used Cherry and its REALLY bright. They are washing right now. I used grape for the one I did the other day. It was really easy.
