Storing/washing dirty pockets and covers

Where/how do you store your dirty covers? Do you do a load of wash only for them, or do you throw them in with other laundry?

Also, do you wash your pocket diapers with the inserts and other diapers, or do you wash them with the covers?

And for AIO's...do you store the dirty ones with the other diapers you use such as fitteds and prefolds or store them separately?

You'd think I'd have this figured out by now....but I can't decide which is best.

I've never separated and don't think I know anyone who does. Pockets, inserts, fitted, AIOs, washcloths...all go into the diaper pail and wash together. The only thing that doesn't go in is obviously wool. Now, when they go to the dryer I do pull some of the covers/pockets out to partially hang dry. I supposed if I was in a pinch and ran out of covers I would throw a couple in with regular laundry, but I've never had that happen.

I only use pockets and AIO's, so for me it's an easier thing to split them from the inserts in separte hanging pails. I wash the pockets and AIO's separtely. The fleece will pill a lot less if it isn't washed and dried with hemp or fleece.... studied fiber chemistry... nerd I know..... but it's really helping my pockets stay nice.

I also hang them to dry, to it just makes it easier.

I wash everything together. (pockets & AI2's and cloth wipes/inserts). I always hang dry the pockets, and most of the shells of the ai2's.
