Fleece causing Diaper Rash?

Please tell me it isn't so.

My girls have just starting using their FB, BG, and Bumkins in the past week or so. Before that we were using sposies. Our stash is only at 6 right now so they use sposies a lot during the day. Well both of my girls developed a diaper rash after a poop today while they were wearing sposies.

What I'm wondering is if the fleece made them more sensitive, or maybe it was the sposie? I don't recall them ever getting a diaper rash that easy unless the sposies are more harsh on their bottoms now.

Help! We just invested in 5 more that are on their way in the mail, my dp would kill me if we just wasted all this money.

Some babies do have a sensitivity to fleece, but more often than not, it's a problem with buildup. Have you stripped your dipes to make sure there's no residue? And are you using a safe detergent? Also, I use vinegar and TTO in the rinse to get out the bacteria and residue.

Thanks for your quick response! The diapers are only a week old, if that so I doubt that its residue, but I did think of that. I run a cold rinse with baking soda, a hot wash with vinegar and lavendar essetial oil and then another cold rinse.

In tonight's load I washed them on hot 3 times though, just in case of the residue.

My dd can't wear fleece, she gets a rash, its just to warm next to her bumm with pee all in it lol. Allergic to wool too
