Testing question??
Ok, so I am wondering something. My AF started on June 19, and on monday July 3 I spotted a little. I am worried it may have been implantation bleeding since the only other time this has happened to me was when I got pregnant with dd. That would have been 14 days after AF started.
So, when is the earliest I can test?? I need to know ASAP if I am pregnant cause I am high risk and need to take prenatals and some other stuff right away. Last edited by Blackbirdlane; 07-05-2006 at 12:30 PM. |

If everyone was the same the world would be a VERY boring place.

Re: Testing question??
It's still a bit too early to test so I say start those vitamins now girlie!! I started taking all my vitamins, iron and high dose of folic acid a few months (actually like 8 months) before Lilly was conceived. I think you can test in about a week at the earliest and that's with one of those sensitive tests.

Re: Testing question??
I am a bit confused though, ovulation is supposed to be about day 14, and my day 14 was monday when I was spotting. I guess i could have ovulated earlier.
off to get some pills, lol. |

Re: Testing question??
could maybe call your dr and see what they say? Tell them what is going on and ask if you could possibly get a blood test done. KUP!!

Re: Testing question??
Yes, ovulation is supposed to be around day 14 but no body is exact, that's just an estimate. You could've ovulated on day 11 and that would be right on. Start popping the pills mama!!

Re: Testing question??
It depends on what kind of test you buy! The last two times I was pg, I took one of those "first response" tests and I would've been only about 2 or 3 days late last time. I got a positive right away (testing first thing in the morning is better, but I usually buy a 2-pack so I can try it right away and then one for the next morning! I hate waiting!!) Actually, when I was pg with Elijah, I tested at home and got a definite positive both times, made my OB appt, and when I got there they kept asking me, "are you sure you got a positive? How late are you?" etc. Finally their urine test came back positive, too. So my at home test came back faster than theirs! Good luck!!!

Re: Testing question??
Yeah, I'd say just to be on the safe side...go ahead and start your prenatal regimen....if you're not, you'll be armed for the next 'what if'....if you are, then you've taken proper precautions!
