LOL, I'm curious...

I can't believe I'm asking this. Alright, I think I read something about it in a book, but I'm not too sure if this is common or not: crapping yourself in the delivery room. Did it happen to you? Is it common? LOL. It definitely happened to me! My Doctor acted like it was no biggie, but I was SO embarrassed.

Re: LOL, I'm curious...

I'm not ashamed to admit it happened to me. I did just about everything you can think of.
The OB/MW/RN is used to it. I even had a good life with my nurse the next day about it.

Re: LOL, I'm curious...

It didn't happen to me, if would have I think I would have died. I was watching youtube homebirth videos the other night and it happened to one of the mamas. The midwife took care of it and the mama didn't even know. i know it happens, but it's still kind of embarrassing.

Re: LOL, I'm curious...

I've heard it is verrry common, but didn't happen to me, I had one attempted vaginal turned emergency csection and one elective. But I did go through a 2 month period where I got those "floating goodies" from ds's bath. YUCK!

Very, very, very common. So common, in fact, that I know at my OB's office, you can opt for an enema prior to delivery. I think some of the doc's even requested it (none of the docs I had though, I was just terrified of the possibility so I had the enema w/ ds1).

Yup, both times. Didn't bother me in the slightest.
