Please Practice Good Bumping Etiquette

Some mamas have been bumping their posts ever few hours, yes this keeps yours at the top, but at the same token it is bumping someone else's down to the bottom. There is no set rule about this as of right now but if we see excessive bumping you will get a pm and ask you to let up. We suggest, as good ettiquette, to not bump more than one time every 12 hours just for the sake of bumping. If you are responding to a question or something that is fine, we're just talking about posting every 1.5 - 2 hours Thanks for understanding mamas

Re: Please Practice Good Bumping Etiquette

How do I "re-post" or "bump" my listing if it's been more than 12 hours? This is my first thread and I'm have a lot of issues. Thanks.

What is "bumping"?!
I have looked all over this site to try to help me understand just what a "bump" actually is... I searched in the FAQ and it only said the same thing as this post: to please wait 12 hours to bump. I've read all kinds of posts on the site and they have tons of replies that simply say "bump" or have a little bump smiley face thingy. Can anyone tell me what this is all about? I'm totally clueless about how message boards and forums operate... *sigh*

Every time a post gets a response it moves the post to the top of the forum and current threads list. "bumping" is when you write the word "bump" as the post to get it to go to the beginning.
