can anyone recycle

a silk sweater? it's 85% silk and 15% cotton i washed it and it got a hole in it so while i cannot wear it i'm hoping someone can recycle it into something. it's burgandy and an XL the majority of the fabric is good (and SOFT!!)

Sure, you could make the sleeves into leggings for a little girl and the body into a skirt! That's just off the top of my head too, I'm sure there are lots of other uses for it. Could the hole be darned?

uhhh i'm really not sure


all those are little holes. except theone with a black and blue outline that's fuzz that i didn't see at first oh and i put a penny on there to show size.

Hmmm. My first thought was diaper liners, since silk is apparently great for rashes.

well if anyone wants it and can do something useful with it i'll send it your way FFS!! i loved that sweater! it shouldn't be too much to ship i'm thinking $3 at most but probobly more around $2 i could weigh it and stuff to let you know.

If that falls through, it is just what I want. Actually silk is one of the most absorbant materials out there (more absorbant than hemp) just it has an outer layer that may make it not absorb as fast. I've been wanting to experiment with it, but don't have the $ to buy peace silk http://www.aurorasilk.com/info/peacesilk.shtml So I would love to experiment with it!
