What did you mix your baby's cereal with?

For those that did baby cereal with their ebf babies what did you mix it with?

For dd#1, I started with bm but since my body isn't super co-operative with a pump, it slowly moved over to a combination of bm/water to eventually water.

For dd#2, I think I tried all bm, a combo and all water and she refused them all (including pureed food) so she was ebf until she could finger feed herself.

Now with dd#3......I'm thinking I might just start with the water and get her used to that taste since I'm not a great pumper.....

I can't stand to pump anymore...been there, done that...hate it. So just water and she loves it.

If I gave cereal, it was mixed with pureed peaches since they were always so runny.

Sometimes I mixed it w/water and juice, but if I had pumped breastmilk on hand then I mixed it w/that. If I had no juice/no pumped milk I used babyfood

Wow....Im out of the loop~I didn't know till now that Heinz or any company put formula IN the cereal then again I don't know much about formula

Hand-expressed the milk right there at the table - Gotta love milk on tap! - after cereal he quit all babyfood until finger food solids. 6-9 mos refused everything but breast milk and a Dorito (oops!)

My 5.5 month old had a spoonful of chili the other day. She grabbed the spoon right out of my bowl and had it in her mouth before I could stop her. I'm thinking she is going to like the cereal/babyfood way better than dd#2

dont do cereal, i dont like it i gave it to my ds 1 time when i was out of baby food that i could give em 4 breakfast (Only had chicken noodle soup) and i mixed it w/juice didnt like it w/bm

In Canada they have this brand called Milupa that contains something like 35% formula. I've known a couple moms with ff babies that use it. They say it mixes up really nice and smooth. I personally have always avoided it purely on the basis of it containing formula since my dd's have all be ebf

Sometimes water, sometimes breastmilk. Now when we have oatmeal - he's 13 months - I mix in a little soy milk. I wish I pumped more, but I just can't find the time anymore to pump when we are nursing so much still and the second I get out the pump he wants to climb up on my lap and chew on the tubes...
