Post your favourite bread machine recipes!
I got a bread machine! I am looking for tried and true recipes that other mamas love. I am going to try the Honey Wheat Bread on Hillbillyhousewife. Looking for some more!

Re: Post your favourite bread machine recipes!
This is one of my favorites:
Tomato Bread 3/4 cup water 2 tablespoons dry milk powder 1 (6 ounce) can of tomato paste 1 tablespoon soy flour 2 cups enriched white flour 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 tablespoon sugar 2 teaspoons dried minced onion 1/4 teaspoon gralic powder 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon Italian spices 1 tablespoon yeast Bread Machine: add ingredients accroding to your bread machine's instructions. Set the machine on the light crust cycle. Check the dough about 10 min. after the bread cycle has started for the correct consistency. Add water one tablespoon at a time if the dough is too dry. Add flour one tablespoon at a time if the dough is too sticky. This makes a 1 1/2 pound loaf. This recipe was adapted from the book Bread Machine Magic. I got it off half.com for $1 plus shipping. It has lots of wonderful recipies. Basic Breadmachine (1.5 lb loaf) 3 cups flour (whole wheat, white, perhaps 1 cup of it cornmeal or oatmeal) 1 cup liquid (water, fruit juice, milk, buttermilk...) 2 tablespoons sweetener (sugar, brown sugar, honey, corn syrup...) 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon yeast 2 tablespoons fat (oil, butter, margarine...) Bread Machine: add ingredients accroding to your bread machine's instructions. Set the machine on the regular crust cycle. Check the dough about 10 min. after the bread cycle has started for the correct consistency. Add water one tablespoon at a time if the dough is too dry. Add flour one tablespoon at a time if the dough is too sticky. |
