Diaper Swappers

what do you do? we never miss a poo when we are at home, only the occasional pee so dd(17 months) will hold her poos til we get home but she often asks to go pee when we are out. If I ever try to hold her over the big public toilet, she freaks out...
any ideas/solutions?

I am considering getting one and bringing the potty seat in for my 12 month old though... (I think I am technically too late for EC for her).

I had a foldable portable potty seat for my first EC'ed baby...

With DS1 at that age we usually brought his BBLP with us. It fit in my backpack so we'd bring it in some places (LLL, friend/family home, etc.) or just potty him in the car.

He hated the big potty too. Still does in fact.

what about a potty bowl and just hold it inbetween your legs

Well, you might think this is gross, but I think it's gross and do it anyway, so...Q also (sometimes) hates being held over the toilet, so sometimes I sit with her - she sits between my legs. This means I sometimes sit on public toilets with my pants on (the gross part). Anyhow, she has pooped several public places this way - Borders, the library, Target - I also like it for poops bc I'm a weakling and sometimes she takes awhile - I don't have the strength to be dangling her that long!

that's a great idea

we do have our bb little potty in the car, but when you are in the middle of grocery shopping, it is hard to run out there and get it

and she just hates dangling over the big potty! i am going to have to try that...doesn't seem that gross to me, i'm much more comfortable with that than having dds little bum touch public toilet seats

I used a reducer w/ DS, or sometimes i even held him over the sink

If we were going to a friends, I brought his potty, or let him pee in the back yard
