Covering paypal cc fees - Specifically which fees?

I am a little confused. I have bought several things on DS and have used my cc through paypal and found my fees on the paypal calc website. Each time I have included ALL fees Paypal + CC acct fees. Is this what I am supposed to do? Or do I only cover the difference? I believe I have a premier paypal acct from Ebay. I've read online that you can only accept a cc payment if you have a bus acct not a personal acct.

The difference in price is not a big deal to me that is why I have been covering all fees! I just want to know for future purchasing and selling!

Thanks for you help

I have a personal account and I am limited to 5 credit card transactions per year.

Re: Covering paypal cc fees - Specifically which fees?

I have a Premeir account and bite fees. I just do it as it is not a huge thing for me. I do not expect Mommas to pay for my business expenses...that is what my tax deductions are for. I consider all fees to be part of being a business owner. Also, it is much cheaper with PP with fees than to actually pay the CC companies themselves for their services.

Some people here do not have Premier or Business accounts (or do) and ask that the buyer cover their fees if paying with CC. It is really the buyers choice if they want to do that or not. So, if you want something and there are fees, then yes you would cover all fees that the seller's account would deduct from her asking price and pay extra when agreeing to purchase from her.

Here is a recent thread that talks about this:

Okay, I understand. The cc fees are different for premier acct vs. personal acct.

website: paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside

4.9% + .30 cents for personal and 2.9% + .30 cents for premier acct

Should I be asking when I buy what type of acct acct they have so that I can include the appropriate fee?

Last few times I have been giving the seller 4.9% + .30 cents.

I know we are talking nickels and dimes. But it seems like people really take this seriously!

If they ask you to pay fees, yes, I would ask what type of account they have.
