Re: how safe are the playtex drop in liners
I heard they were safe too. Also, Walmart makes a bottle that is safe as well. Its the standard size- and may fit your pump.

Re: how safe are the playtex drop in liners
Yep it is just the liners that you really need to be concerned about since the bottle doesn't actually touch the milk. They are all made of plastic that is not on the list of "harmful" plastics. We use em and love them. Try the preformed liners, they rock.

Re: how safe are the playtex drop in liners
In a book I have ..Going Green for Life" it states that disposible liners can leach phthalates which is another hormone disrupting chemical in plastic..;(

Re: how safe are the playtex drop in liners
I called my local BRU and they said that the playtex drop-in bottles/liners are ok they don't have BPA.. The BPA comes out of the plastic in some bottles when they are microwaved, thats why is says on the bottles or somewhere do not microwave. HTH.. I have used the playtex drop in systems since I delievered and I like them and that is just over 10 months now...

Re: how safe are the playtex drop in liners
The playtex drop in liners, themselves, are BPA free BUT not the bottles. So Vent-aire would have BPAs. If you are planning to just use the drop in ones, it should be fine, that is what I plan on using as well.
However, I didn't know the liners could have other chemicals/hormones though. *sighs* So many things to check on to see if an item is safe for your baby when we should be living in a world where all baby stuff SHOULD be safe and not marketed just for extra $$. |
