measurement how to?

there is a wool soaker/shortie on ebay that i want BUT i dont know how to measure ds the right way.

i believe i got the thighs down, waist is questionable bc i think i measured to low.

how do i measure the rise?? front to back or just from the belly button down?

I just googled it and came up with this: http://www.pinstripesandpolkadots.com/recycledwool.htm But I do know that rise is from where you want it to go in front (like say just below the belly button) all the way around to where you want it to sit in back.

To measure the rise for a wool soaker you want to measure from front to back over one of her bulkiest fitteds just to make sure the soaker is a good long lasting fit. That is the way I always do it.
