Re: Does anyone here have a son with adhd?

My oldest has ADHD, Tourettes, and OCD..I don't really consider him SN though...he's just him.....he has his quirks.....but he's brilliant and funny and is doing so well. We have him on the "ADHD" diet, and he also takes meds. He is almost 7 and is doing very well now that we know how his brain works, we can work with him instead of against him.If you wanna chat some more give me a holler!

Not an ADHD momma, but was the teacher and struggle with ADHD myself. Diets are more of a help than most people realize. PM me if you want more info.

Is it OK to put your child on this even if he hasn't been diagnosed with ADHD?
We're pretty sure I have it. DS acts a LOT like me most times, too. We both have most of the symptoms.

Serious? What are you noticing? What is the link or information for this?

I don't know if I mentioned this but anytime I have "fake" sugar in my diet, I really get ramped up. I do not consume anymore of that stuff and just go full sugar LOL. That still ramps me up but not as bad as fake sugar and other fake foods (like another pp mentioned). This week I am on a completely horrible fast food "diet" and feel completely scattered (dx ADHD).

I totally agree! The most frustrating thing is everyone around you with the lack of knowledge about the "diet" thing that you get unwanted opponions and thoughts when you THE PARENT makes + choices for YOUR KIDS. It's not even a DIET. It's the natural way of eating brought back from the "old days" That was/is frust. for me but I am learning to deal with it. My DH LOVES the natural/organic way but we still have a long way to "crunchiness"
