How much is too much food in a day for a bf 10-month old?
My dd just started solids last month and had only been getting a few bites every couple days. Now she has more teeth and is really into stuff like Cheerios, animal crackers, chunks of avocado and fruits, and almost everything I eat she gets to try. Today dh fed her 15
animal crackers over the course of the day, plus she ate an ENTIRE peach cut up, then later she had some avocado and a few french fries. I do make sure to nurse her first, but she nursed way less than usual and didn't even nurse to sleep, probably due to all that food. I actually had to pump today (don't usually) because both sides were quite full and one side was starting to hurt. How much is too much food in a day for a bf 10 month old? I don't want to risk my supply going down, as I would like to bf her as long as she'll let me.

Re: How much is too much food in a day for a bf 10-month old?
Our LOs are about a month apart. Sometimes I think she is surviving on cherrios and gerber cheese puffs alone!! I had asked this question in the La Leche League forums, because (although we are EP due to thrush early on) I worry about my supply going down as well.
I would keep us with the pumping if she is starting to skip nursing sessions. Our DR said that around this age they REALLY like to start eating solids, and they will keep eating them if offered. I would TRY to offer her to nurse as often as possible. Is she eating solids because she is bored?? Our LO does that. HTH nad I would not worry too much.

She may be eating a little bit because she is bored, but I think she just likes to snack. Lord knows I do! I do offer nursing all the time, but when she's not in the mood to nurse she bites so I have been offering less when i think she is full.
