Seattle/Bremerton/Port Orchard mams

I'm coming to visit in 2 weeks (Aug 5-19) My DH is from the Bremerton/Port Orchard area and it's the first time we've been back since having Carson. I need to some ideas of what to do with a 14 month old. We plan on going to the zoo and the aquarium. What else would be fun? Is anyone having a play date? I know we will be in Belfair for a couple of days and the rest of the time in Bremerton. Also are there any neat baby stores I should visit? We do not have many locally here in Alabama
Thanks mamas

The Pacific Science Center has some really neat activities for little guys. There is a section carefully designed just for toddlers. The Pacific Science Center is in the middle of the Seattle Center, so you could show him the Space Needle, the fountain, and the monorail, to name a few. The Children's Museum is also in the Seattle Center, and it would also be a great choice. There are tons of hands-on activities there. It has been some years since I have been to Woodland Park Zoo (in Seattle,) but it is a terrific zoo, and the Seattle Aquaruim is great too. I typically go to Woodland Park Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma, which I am sure would be a big hit as well. So many things to see and do... I hope you have a wonderful trip, and welcome to the area!

if you're staying in bremerton, make sure to visit the new Harborside Fountain Park, by the ferry terminal. it is really nice, there are about 5 or 6 huge fountains that spout off every couple minutes, and the kids can wade in them (they're only about a foot deep). it is right on the water, and you can see the ferries come and go.
