heres a couple of my fav recipes
here are a few that I like (I like it simple and my oven is broken so I cook with my crock pot mostly)
Sloppy Joes: 1lb Lean ground beef 1 medium onion 2/3 cup ketchup 1/4 cup water 1 Tbsp vinegar any kind 1 tsp worcestershire sauce 1 tsp mustard 1/4 tsp garlic powder 6 drops hot pepper sauce brown the beef; drain fat; turn beef to pan and add onions; cook for about 2 minutes; add remaining ingredients (I usually put them in a bowl while the beef is browning) and simmer for about 10 minutes and viola! Beef Brisket with barbecue sauce (crockpot) 2.5 lb beef brisket (they have them at Giant) 3/4 cup water 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce 1 Tbsp vinegar 1 tsp beef bouillon granules 1/2 tsp dry mustard 1/2 tsp chilli powder 1/4 tsp ground red pepper 2 cloves garlic minced combine ingredients and reserve 1/2 cup for sauce; in a 3.5-4 quart crockpot cook on low for 8-10hrs or on high for 3-5 hrs for a 5-6 quart cooker double the liquid ingredients For the sauce: 1/2 cup ketchep 2 Tbsp brown sugar 2 Tbsp butter the 1/2 liquid leftover simply heat the sauce ingredients and you have a very delicious bbq sauce! Beef Stew 12 oz beef stew meat (lean) 1 cup water 1 med. onion cut into thin wedges 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce 3 cups vegie juice 1.5 tsp beef boullion 1 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp dired marjoram 1/4 tsp black pepper 3 cups cubed potatoes 1 small can of green beans 1 small can of carrotts (or 1 cup of each if you use frozen or fresh) brown beef, and add all ingredients to the crockpot and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 3-5 or untill potatoes and vegies are tender.
