Do you hang your christmas tree lights from the bottom and go up?

Or from the top and go down?

We've always done it from the top going down. That way the final plug is under the tree not way up at the top. Then, you just have to run the extension cord or whatever under the tree skirt and you don't see it. Plus, if you have "extra" lights when you are done, you can find room for them at the bottom. It would be hard to do that if you ended at the top.

me too. seems like th lights get clustered together really pretty at the top, but by the time i get to the bottom, i need to weave back in anyway, and then the whole hiding the plug issue. i put about 1000 lights on my 6.5 ft tree... too many?? lol.
