My dh put a dryer sheet in w/my diapers!

I could just kill him. He was doing me a "favor" by putting the dipes in the dryer. This morning when I pulled them out, I thought "Hmmm, the microbfiber towels seem soft." Then, I saw the culprit: a Downy sheet! Someone please tell me that one dryer sheet just one time won't cause too much trouble! Please! I cannot tell you how many times I've explained to him that fabric softener in any form is a no-no on diapers!

Put signs on the dryer!!! I had to put a sign on the microwave to teach H how to heat the water for Ethan's bottle - he'd always make it scorching hot and never remember! I put the sign up and eventually he got it Make a sign w/ the red circle w/ the cross out and a dryer sheet in the middle :P

Anyway, I'm not sure what will happen -can you rewash them or strip them really well?

i've had that happen a couple of times. no permanent damage to my fitteds. if you have a lot of fleece inners you might just prefer to rewash, but it didn't hurt my velours, sherpas, etc.

We've done it. No long term effects but mine were mostly prefolds and a few hemp and microfiber things.. No fleece pockets, etc..

Yeah that! Adding if you have mostly pockets I would go ahead and rewash them on hot with a bit of dawn and that should take care of it. But fitteds are no big deal they just won't absorb quite as much if you use them now.

Re: My dh put a dryer sheet in w/my diapers!

Thank you, Ladies! I actually have mostly prefolds and fleece liners. I have a few microfiber towels that I made some fleece evelope pockets (like on Karen's diaperpages) for and use at nightime. I'm glad to hear that it probably won't hurt them. My lone fuzzibunz was in there and I'll just chuck it back into the pail to be rewashed. I won't need it until church on Sunday anyway. I really appreciate all the responses!
