baby food

i was given some baby food and i don't think that the person realized that some of them were expired. it was nov of 06, do you think that it would be ok to feed still???? just wondering

I probably wouldn't. But I am anal and never use anything past the expire date. LOL

I would, if it doesn't smell right when you open it, then toss it. Most shelf stable food is still fine after expiration dates.

Yeah, I would still use it. I used some vitamins that were expired but still sealed (12/06) after reading some sites on how those dates are usually very conservative (to get ppl to buy them more than necessary and pay more $$) and how some items are good for YEARS past their date. I always think, ok, what would have been any different 30 days ago?? JMO though, I have a lot of friends who would never even THINK about it. But to each their own.

Yeah I would use it... but I would use it asap. Like pp said. If it smells funny don't feed it, but other than that it's cool.
