Ignore list?

So I know that when you put someone on your ignore list you can't see their posts, but can they see your posts? For instance, say there is one person who you have noticed likes to post comments with the intent of getting a rise out of people. You want to post a thread but you really don't want it to turn into a flame fest. If that person is on your ignore list, can they post to your thread? Because if they can, they are still fanning the flames and getting everyone worked up, but you just can't see the post that everyone else is getting upset about

They can see your posts and reply to your threads.

IMO ignore doesnt really work b/c when people quote them you can still see their posts within the person who quoted thems post.
