we are having baby #3 in the begining of Nov. Im a stay at home mom. Can he take parental leave? does he get paid ei for it? any info would be awesome! thanks!!

Although, thinking back I think only the primary caregiver qualifies for ei.....

Yup! If you are not claiming the EI, then your SO can. I used 8 months of mine, went back to work and then Hubby used the rest. Poor guy, he thought he was going to get a vacation!

as long as they have the same parental leave in BC that they have in ontario yes he can. I am a SAHM so my hubby takes 35 weeks paid thru EI. He did with our last baby and will be doing the same again.
