Washing wool in a machine
I've seen that some wool says it can be washed on gentle in the machine. My question is - is there a product that you can use that re-lanolizes it in the machine? Or do you still have to basically get them in the sink to do the re-lanolizing after the machine wash?

Re: Washing wool in a machine
You don't necessarily have to lanolize every time you wash (I do it, but I hand wash all my wool). As long as you use wool wash (i.e. a soap that won't strip the wool of all it's detergent), then you should be ok. You can use Eucalan in the machine.
The Eucalan won't really replenish the lanolin in the wool, so you will have to relanolize eventually. You can probably use high lanolin wool wash in the machine, too, but it's harder to tell how much you need to use so that everything gets enough lanolin in it...

Re: Washing wool in a machine
Ewe need it wool wash contains 45% lanolin whereas Eucalan wool wash only contains 2% lanolin. But yes you will eventually need to lanolize again. I use washer for that too. Just add emulsified oil to water, soak and then spin out. I prefer that to sink as it gets out more water when it spins and then they dry faster, but you can always spin out in washer after you take out of sink too!!!!. I lanolize myself every 4, 6 or 8 weeks as that is how often I wash my covers and by that time they are needing both.
