Mother's one touch- snap came clear through material :(

I have a mother's one touch bought in feb 2006 that just had a snap come clear through the material leaving a hole where the snap should be. I was taking the diaper off of dd and i was being gentle and it just went clear through. the snaps have always been hard to put together and undo but i didn't expect this.
I e-mailed where i got it. Now i am wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Do you think it can be fixed? you can see the male and female snaps stuck together in middle right of picture(3rd over).

Yup. I think it could be fixed. I hope the place you bought it from will offer to fix it for you or flat out replace it though. If they don't, there are whams here that may do it for you for free (you pay shipping). Or PM me. I have a snap press and would be happy to try to fix it for you. I am guessing it will need some reinforcing material since it went completely through. If so, it probably won't be as pretty as before, but I believe it can be done.

I have one Mommy's One Touch and this hasn't been an issue. But we haven't worn it very much yet.

There is no issue with the place i bought it she just hasn't had a chance to respond yet because it happened only like half an hour ago. She will most likely fix it or replace it.

There were some diapers that were made that had some tight snaps. The retailers are aware that there may still be a few out there, so you should have no troubles with an exchange.

I bought it when they first came out so it is probably from that "first batch". I am mailing it back for an exchange. No biggy. It just suprised me when it went all the way through because i wasn't expecting it. Thanks.
