? making soakers

I'm making some fleece soakers and I ran out of fleece for the extra wetness area. I was wondering if I could use some microfleece I have? I have the microfleece to make pocket diapers. Would it work the same as regular fleece for the soakers?

On second thought I think it's actually suedcloth. It's black so I can't look at it real close. Would that make any difference?

Microfleece will let wettness wick through it, so you might be better off using material from a fleece blanket or jacket you dont use anymore. I know joanns has a half off remnants section with i often find fleece in there at a great price.

Re: ? making soakers

You could use a couple fleece scraps to make the soaker area. Just sew them together first w/poly thread, then attach like it's one piece of fleece. We can't get by w/o the extra wet zone layer
